Great Ormond Street’s Nurse Wendy Bear Visits Thirsk

We’ve had a very special visitor to Thirsk this week when Great Ormond Streets Hospitals newest Nurse visited the town. Nurse Wendy Bear is a beautiful, handmade teddy bear has been lovingly designed for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.  Showing her support for the hospital with their logo stitched into her paw. Very soft and cuddly, dressed in traditional uniform.

Because Nurse Wendy Bear didn’t very long in Thirsk I thought I would take her along to Thirsk’s most popular visitor attraction ‘The World of James Herriot’.

Like millions worldwide, you’ve probably read his books or watched All Creatures Great and Small on TV. Now come and see where James Herriot, the world’s most famous vet, lived, worked and wrote his incredibly successful series of books based on his experiences as a young North Yorkshire vet.

I have uploaded a selection of photos from Nurse Wendy’s Visit to Thirsk. I do hope you like them.

Nurse Wendy Bear is available to buy at a great price of £10 from the Great Ormond Street shop that you can find at www.shop.gosh.org. If your interested in visiting The World of James Herriot you will find all the information you need at www.worldofjamesheriot.com
